2026 Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes Football

Welcome to the 2026 season of Hurricane Football!   The 102^nd  in the history of the Schuylkill Haven Football program. In the previous 101 seasons, the Hurricanes have an all-time record of 619 wins, 415 losses and 27 ties in 1,061 games- a .596 winning percentage. The all-time record includes 50 wins and 27 loses in 77 playoff games- a .649 winning percentage.

Head Coach Mike Farr – Returning for his 22^nd  season, the Hurricanes are again led by coach Mike Farr- the 11^th varsity head football coach at Schuylkill Haven High School. Through 21 seasons, Coach Farr has an overall record of 153 wins and 95 losses in 248 games- a .617 winning percentage.

 2025 Season Recap – The Hurricanes finished the 2025 season with an overall record of 12 wins and 1 loss. Their regular season record of 10-0 allowed Haven to qualify for the District XI Class AA playoffs as the #1 seed. Included in their regular season tally was a perfect 9-0 record in the Colonial-Schuylkill League Blue Division which resulted in the Hurricanes being crowned Division Champions. (2025 was the final season of the Colonial-Schuylkill scheduling co-op). In the District XI Class AA playoffs, Haven beat Catasauqua in the opening round and Northern Lehigh in the semi-finals before losing to Williams Valley in the championship game.

 2026 Season Preview – Highlighting the 2026 season will be the return to the Schuylkill League for the Schuylkill Haven Football team. The Hurricanes are once again members of Division 2- along with Schuylkill League teams Mahanoy Area, Nativity, Williams Valley, Shenandoah Valley, Tri-Valley, Minersville and Marian. Because there are only 7-division games for the 2026 season, three non-league games are also on the schedule. Week 0 will feature a first-ever matchup for the Hurricanes at Mount Carmel. Next game (Week 1) is at Tamaqua- who last was played in 2019. And the final non-league game will be against rival Blue Mountain at Rotary Field.

2026 Team Preview – For the 2026 season, the Hurricanes return 8 starters on offensive- which includes two running backs, five linemen and three 4-year starters. Defensively, eight starters are returning- including three 4-year & two 3-year starters.

2026 Pre-Season Scrimmage – In preparation for the 2026 season, the Hurricanes will be hosting the Chiefs of Lakeland High School in their pre-season scrimmage.
