Hurricane Football Team Traveling To Florida

Schuylkill Haven Head Football Coach Mike Farr
has announced that the Hurricane Football Team and the Hurricane Football
Parents Club are partnering with KSA Events for a team trip to Orlando,
Florida.
The trip, which will take place August 17 – 21,
includes 5 days at a resort, airfare, ground transportation, meals and
admission to Universal Studios.
The Hurricanes will also conduct daily practices
as part of their preparation for the 2022 season. Their time in Florida will
culminate with a preseason scrimmage against Darlington High School (Rome, GA) on Saturday, August 20, 10 a.m. at the Austin-Tindall Field, Kissimmee, FL.
The Schuylkill Haven JV's will also participate in a scrimmage against the Avon (OH) JV squad on Saturday, August 20 at 7 p.m.- also at the Austin-Tindall Sports Complex.
The Hurricane Football Parents Club will be
hosting various fundraisers to help defray the cost of the trip for all
players. Supporters of Hurricane Football, including player’s families,
friends, residents of our School District, Haven High Alumni and Haven Football
Alumni are encouraged and invited to participate in all fundraising events.
The trip, which was approved by the Schuylkill
Haven Area School District Board of Directors during their February, 2022
regular monthly meeting, had been postponed in both 2020 and 2021 due to the
COVID-19 pandemic.
